We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Accounts to take full ownership of the accounting function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting accuracy, ensuring statutory compliance, implementing robust internal controls, and leading a team of accountants to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

•Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely execution of all accounting functions.

•Allocate responsibilities effectively, review deliverables, and build team capability through ongoing training and feedback.

•Drive accountability, accuracy, and discipline across the accounting vertical.

•Ensure alignment of accounting practices with organizational goals and compliance standards.

2. Accounting Operations

•Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, invoice postings, receipts, payments, and expense accounting.

•Supervise the maintenance of ledgers, sub-ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations.

•Ensure timely month-end and year-end closures with accuracy and completeness.

•Review and approve vendor bills, payment runs, and reconciliations for correctness.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit

•Ensure strict compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements under Indian laws.

•Manage coordination with statutory and internal auditors for audit schedules, documentation, and timely closure of audit queries.

•Oversee preparation and filing of statutory returns and ensure adherence to all accounting and regulatory deadlines.

•Maintain organized documentation and audit trails for all financial records.

4. Internal Controls & Reporting

•Develop and enforce internal control systems to prevent errors and ensure integrity of financial information.

•Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS and accounting reports for management.

•Support management with insights for cost analysis, reconciliations, and process efficiency improvements.

•Ensure accounting processes are streamlined, automated where possible, and aligned with best practices.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Collaborate with operations, procurement, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting workflows.

•Act as a key point of contact for vendor and client-related accounting queries.

•Partner with leadership to improve systems, processes, and documentation efficiency.

Requirements

•Minimum 10 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industries.

•Proven experience managing a team of accountants and leading end-to-end accounting operations.

•In-depth expertise in Tally Prime, MS Excel (advanced functions, reconciliation models, MIS), and accounting documentation.

•Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

•Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and process-driven approach.

•Effective communication, leadership, and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in commerce/accounting/business administration (mandatory).

•Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain accounting will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.78 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
