What You’ll Be Doing
- Regularly review plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly while identifying improvement opportunities.
- Apply methodologies such as CI, RCA, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and MS Project for process optimization.
- Develop and implement Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plans aligned with TPM principles.
- Plan and execute annual maintenance activities for plant equipment.
- Initiate and lead projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Monitor spare parts usage, inventory, and maintenance supplies; initiate reordering as needed.
- Prepare reports, conduct downtime analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain effective communication with maintenance technicians for feedback and issue resolution.
- Update and maintain operating and training manuals for the maintenance team.
- Train technicians on updated operating procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies during maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all legal and statutory maintenance requirements.
- Lead and manage teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Oversee project and maintenance practices, including materials and spare parts management.
- Interpret mechanical and MEP drawings with precision.
- Apply knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., IS codes, NBC).
- Utilize tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera (preferred).
- Document and file all approvals and inspections accurately.
- Conduct quality checks during installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain technical documentation in both soft and hard copies.
- Combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
- Act as a team player, motivator, and effective networker with a persuasive attitude.
- Uphold commitment to tasks, Knauf values, and company objectives.
- Communicate fluently in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
Mechanical Installation Responsibilities
- Serve as the point of contact for all mechanical installation topics on-site.
- Supervise mechanical installation works in line with project schedules, quality standards, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance of mechanical installation activities with local and national regulations.
- Support the tendering process for mechanical installation activities.
- Coordinate with on-site mechanical installation contractors.
- Verify and approve invoices submitted by mechanical installation companies.

- B. Tech or B.E in Mechanical Engineering. Preferred from Gypsum board manufacturing, Food Industry, Cement Industry and Power plants
- Proven track record of at least 12- 15 years’ professional experience
- Good knowledge of plant equipment and production process of the gypsum sector or similar industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of project and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and MEP drawings.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
