Description
As a Maintenance Manager at Knauf India's Dahej Plant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime. Your key responsibilities will include: - Regularly reviewing plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly while identifying improvement opportunities. - Applying methodologies such as CI, RCA, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and MS Project for process optimization. - Developing and implementing Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plans aligned with TPM principles. - Planning and executing annual maintenance activities for plant equipment. - Initiating and leading projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. - Monitoring spare parts usage, inventory, and maintenance supplies; initiating reordering as needed. - Preparing reports, conducting downtime analyses, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. - Maintaining effective communication with maintenance technicians for feedback and issue resolution. - Updating and maintaining operating and training manuals for the maintenance team. - Training technicians on updated operating procedures and best practices. - Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies during maintenance activities. - Adhering to all legal and statutory maintenance requirements. - Leading and managing teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. - Overseeing project and maintenance practices, including materials and spare parts management. - Interpreting mechanical and MEP drawings with precision. - Utilizing tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera (preferred). - Documenting and filing all approvals and inspections accurately. - Conducting quality checks during installation and commissioning activities. - Maintaining technical documentation in both soft and hard copies. - Combining strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution. - Acting as a team player, motivator, and effective networker with a persuasive attitude. - Upholding commitment to tasks, Knauf values, and company objectives. - Communicating fluently in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus. In addition, you will have Mechanical Installation Responsibilities, which include: - Serving as the point of contact for all mechanical installation topics on-site. - Supervising mechanical installation works in line with project schedules, quality standards, and budgets. - Ensuring compliance of mechanical installation activities with local and national regulations. - Supporting the tendering process for mechanical installation activities. - Coordinating with on-site mechanical installation contractors. - Verifying and approving invoices submitted by mechanical installation companies. Qualifications required for this role include: - B. Tech or B.E in Mechanical Engineering, preferred from Gypsum board manufacturing, Food Industry, Cement Industry, and Power plants. - Proven track record of at least 12-15 years of professional experience. - Good knowledge of plant equipment and production process of the gypsum sector or similar industry. - Strong leadership and people management skills. - In-depth knowledge of project and maintenance practices. - Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera. - Ability to read and interpret mechanical and MEP drawings. - Familiarity with relevant codes and standards. - Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities. - Excellent communication and networking skills.
