Maintenance Associate

Job Title: Automation Maintenance Engineer – Robotic Systems Department: Maintenance / Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 2–6 Years Industry: Automotive / Industrial Automation / Manufacturing Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role involves the preventive and corrective maintenance of robotic assembly equipment and associated automation systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience with robotics, PLCs, vision systems, drives, and sensing devices used in modern automated manufacturing lines. Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance Execute routine preventive maintenance tasks on robotic assembly equipment. Minimize downtime and enhance machine longevity through proactive care. 2. Troubleshooting and Repairs Diagnose and repair faults in robotic systems and supporting automation components. Troubleshoot PLCs and resolve communication issues between multiple PLC units and networks. 3. Vision System Maintenance Maintain and calibrate vision systems (e.g., for part inspection or positioning). Address technical issues to ensure continuous and accurate quality inspection. 4. Drive Systems Service and troubleshoot Siemens and SEW drive systems. Ensure efficient motor control and power transmission in production lines. 5. Sensing Devices Install, test, and maintain sensors such as proximity, pressure, photoelectric, and encoder types. Ensure accuracy and reliability of all sensory inputs to control systems. 6. Electrical Hoists Perform routine maintenance and emergency repair on electrical hoists. Ensure lifting equipment meets operational and safety standards. Qualifications: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related discipline 2+ years of experience in maintenance of automation/robotic equipment Strong understanding of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.) Experience with servo and drive systems (SEW, Siemens) Familiarity with industrial vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, etc.) Key Skills: PLC Troubleshooting & Communication Protocols Preventive Maintenance Planning Root Cause Analysis & Breakdown Maintenance Basic understanding of industrial safety standards Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics Preferred Traits: Proactive and self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset Team player with good communication skills Ability to work in a high-paced, production-oriented environment Willingness to work in shifts (if applicable)
