Job Title: Robotic Maintenance Engineer / Technician
Department: Maintenance / Automation
Reporting To: Maintenance / Production Manager
Job Summary: The Robotic Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic assembly systems and associated automation equipment. This includes preventive maintenance, drive systems, PLC troubleshooting, vision systems, sensing devices, and electrical hoists. The role ensures maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment.
Ensure optimal functioning and extended lifespan of equipment.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose faults and perform repairs on robotic systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs, resolve communication issues between PLC systems, and restore equipment to operation.
3. Vision System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot vision systems used for quality inspection on the assembly line.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of vision-based inspections.
4. Drive Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Siemens Drives and SEW Drives.
Ensure smooth and efficient operation of motor control systems.
5. Sensing Devices: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various industrial sensing devices such as proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, and encoders.
Ensure sensors are accurately detecting and functioning as intended for safe and efficient operations.
6. Electrical Hoists: Perform regular maintenance and repair of electrical hoists used in assembly and material handling.
Ensure safe and reliable operation following industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience: 3–8 years of experience in robotic equipment maintenance or industrial automation maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Knowledge of Siemens Drives, SEW Drives, and motor control systems.
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Omron).
Familiarity with various sensing devices used in industrial automation.
Hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of electrical hoists.

Proactive attitude towards safety and process improvement.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work in shifts, including night and weekend shifts when required.
