Job Title: Robotic Maintenance Engineer
Department: Maintenance / Automation
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager / Engineering Head
Job Purpose: To perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic assembly equipment, including PLC systems, drives, vision systems, sensing devices, and electrical hoists, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive MaintenancePerform scheduled preventive maintenance of robotic assembly equipment.
Ensure equipment runs at peak efficiency and extends equipment life.
2. Troubleshooting and RepairsDiagnose and repair faults in robotic systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs and resolve communication errors between multiple PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).
3. Vision System MaintenanceMaintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot vision inspection systems on assembly lines (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Omron).
Ensure accuracy and functionality for quality control processes.
4. Drive SystemsTroubleshoot and maintain Siemens Drives and SEW Drives.
Ensure drive systems are operating efficiently and effectively without downtime.
5. Sensing DevicesInstall, calibrate, and repair various sensing devices including proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and pressure sensors.
Ensure safe and accurate functioning of sensors across the assembly line.
6. Electrical HoistsPerform routine maintenance and repairs of electrical hoists.
Ensure operational safety and reliability of lifting equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience:3–8 years of relevant experience in robotic maintenance or industrial automation.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
Knowledge of Siemens and SEW drives maintenance.
Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining machine vision systems.
Familiarity with industrial sensing devices and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience in electrical hoist maintenance and safety procedures.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Proactive approach towards machine uptime and safety compliance.

Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays if required.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.
