Job Title: Robotic Maintenance Engineer / Technician
Department: Maintenance / Automation
Reporting To: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary: The Robotic Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of robotic assembly equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The role involves working with drive systems, PLCs, sensing devices, and vision systems while ensuring safety compliance and minimizing equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:1. Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment.
Ensure optimal performance, reduce downtime, and extend the life of machinery.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues in robotic systems.
Troubleshoot PLCs and resolve communication issues between multiple PLC systems.
3. Vision System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection systems used in assembly lines.
Ensure accurate detection and quality control through proper functioning of vision systems.
4. Drive Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Siemens Drives and SEW Drives.
Ensure effective operation of drive systems for production equipment.
5. Sensing Devices: Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot a variety of sensing devices, including proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, and pressure sensors.
Ensure reliable and safe machine operations.
6. Electrical Hoists: Maintain, inspect, and repair electrical hoists used in the assembly process.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and reliable operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields.
Experience: 3–8 years of experience in robotic assembly equipment maintenance, automation, or industrial maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing robotic systems.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar).
Knowledge of Siemens and SEW drive systems.
Familiarity with vision inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence, Omron, etc.).
Experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial sensing devices.
Electrical hoist maintenance and repair experience.
Soft Skills:

Good communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work in shifts and during equipment breakdown emergencies.
Adherence to all company safety protocols.
