Role Overview
As a Legal Assistant at Scry AI, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to coordinate and manage day-to-day legal operations. This role demands high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced technology environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, vendor agreements, partner agreements, and other commercial contracts
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records of all executed agreements and related correspondence
- Track contract versions, approvals, and signatures; help ensure internal processes are followed before execution
- Support the standardization of contract templates, clause libraries, and checklists
Legal Research and Compliance Support
- Conduct basic legal and regulatory research on topics such as data protection, privacy, IP, and IT/technology contracts
- Summarize key findings and prepare concise notes or memos for internal stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining compliance documentation for key sectors such as BFSI, insurance, and logistics
- Support internal audits of legal documentation, policies, and contract repositories
Coordination with Internal Teams and External Counsel
- Work with sales, finance, HR, and operations to gather information needed for contract drafting or review
- Coordinate with external legal counsel by preparing documents, collating queries, and tracking open issues
- Help schedule and document legal-related meetings, follow-ups, and action items
- Serve as a point of coordination for contract-related queries from internal teams
Process Management and Record Keeping
- Maintain structured digital repositories for contracts, legal opinions, and policy documents
- Track key contract milestones such as renewal dates, notice periods, and obligations and flag them to relevant teams
- Support the creation and maintenance of internal SOPs for contract review, approval, and storage
- Assist in preparing simple reports or trackers related to legal workload, contract status, and renewals
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field; a law background is preferred
- Experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Executive, Contract Coordinator, or similar role (in tech, SaaS, or services environment is a plus)
- Familiarity with basic concepts in contract law, commercial agreements, and data protection
- Experience working with contract management tools, document management systems, or structured trackers (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize legal points clearly for non-legal stakeholders
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Our Ideal Candidate
- Is meticulous, process-oriented, and reliable with documentation and follow-ups
- Can translate legal and contractual requirements into clear, actionable steps for business teams
- Is proactive in tracking renewals, obligations, and open issues instead of waiting for escalations
- Enjoys working in a high-growth, technology-focused environment and is curious about AI, data, and digital contracts
- Is comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders and supporting senior leadership with timely legal information
