Job Description

Job Title: Learning & Development Manager Channel: Agency Partner Channel Company: Axis Max Life Insurance Location: Adajan , Surat. Job Purpose: To design, implement, and monitor impactful training and development strategies for agency partners. The L&D Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing sales productivity, driving competency-based learning, and nurturing future leaders within the agency distribution model. Key Responsibilities: Training Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute annual learning strategies aligned with business objectives. Identify training needs through performance analysis and business inputs. Content Design & Delivery: Design engaging, role-specific training modules for agency sales force, leaders, and new joiners. Deliver induction programs, skill-building workshops, product training, and leadership development programs. Agency Development: Collaborate with Agency Development Managers and Business Development Managers to enhance agent productivity. Drive certifications, capability development initiatives, and goal-setting workshops. Performance Enablement: Track training effectiveness through measurable KPIs like activation, productivity, and persistency. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve training interventions. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with regional and zonal L&D heads, sales leadership, and HR to ensure alignment and impact. Provide coaching and guidance to field trainers and sales enablers. Digital Learning Initiatives: Leverage digital platforms, LMS, and virtual classrooms to drive blended learning experiences. Promote self-learning culture among agents and managers. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of the life insurance agency model Excellent facilitation and communication skills Instructional design and digital learning acumen Stakeholder management and collaborative mindset Analytical skills and business orientation Qualifications & Experience: Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred) 2-5 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in BFSI or Insurance Prior experience in training sales teams or agency partners is highly desirable
