REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

POSITION REPORTS TO: ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF IT (INDIA)

DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

POSITION LOCATION: VADODARA, INDIA (HYBRID)

BUDGET: 18,00,000 -24,00,000 PA.


The Lead BI Analyst is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of advanced BI solutions. This role will set the strategic direction for BI initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. Additionally, this position will work with the Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics, Company Senior Leadership, Business Operations, and other pertinent parties to define, prioritize and develop business intelligence and analytics solutions.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 Design and development of reporting solutions utilizing SQL Server, Power BI and Tableau

 Design and development of data integrations utilizing SQL and SSIS

 Develop, document, and maintain Power BI and Tableau dashboards utilizing best practices and industry standards.

 Analyze the existing transactional data repositories to identify and create data mapping and business rules for ETL, based on business needs.

 Lead and mentor a team of BI Analysts, providing technical and professional guidance.

 Serve as the Subject matter expert and primary point of contact for BI initiatives with senior leadership and

business stakeholders.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and IT, to understand business needs

and deliver BI solutions that drive operational and strategic improvements.

 Contribute to and partner with Product and Development teams in creation of procedural automation and associated project lifecycle including but not limited to concept delivery, user testing, and deployment.

 Establish regular validation processes to ensure data integrity and recommend new reports, feeds, and processes to support the business model.

 Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of BI projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

 Champion best practices in data governance, quality, and security.

 Partner with the Manager of BI Analytics to identify and implement improvements for the department


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The Lead BI Analyst will be able to design a solution from scratch as well as understand data needs necessary to drive business decisions including forecasting, KPIs and operational excellence. This role is expected to collaborate closely with multiple teams inside and outside of the IT department and effectively influence on behalf of analytics and data driven thinking.

 Demonstrated experience leading BI teams or projects.

 Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable BI solutions.

 Proven ability to influence and drive change across departments.

 Advanced SQL knowledge with 10+ years of experience working with multiple platforms (SQL Server, Oracle etc.) including modeling, creating, and operating a database.

 Expert level proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL, with experience building efficient data models, data flows, and performing complex queries.

 Expertise in optimizing Power BI reports and SQL queries for improved performance and faster response times.

 Experience in reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS.

 Familiarity with systems integration utilizing tools and languages such as SSIS, C#, Python and JavaScript is preferred.

 Experience with data warehousing concepts and cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS and GCP. Azure experience is preferred.

 Experience building Power Automate Flows would be nice to have.

 Excellent management and communication skills. Have a desire for continuous process improvement, optimization, and automation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Comfortable and highly proficient in working with large sets of data in spreadsheets and other

information systems.

 Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field

 Ability to take loose or incompletely defined requirements and use knowledge and experience to create a finished product.

 Ability to give effective training and presentations to senior management and other groups.

 Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills.
