Overview A Junior QA Engineer would be an active participant in all phases of the project life cycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of internal business partners to ensure that all testing requirements are understood, documented and met. Business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/ deploying solutions to end users and Automation strategy proposal. Interact with both technical teams and business. They would also be actively involved to develop Automated test scripts and perform Automation testing using Selenium. Responsibilities: • Perform manual or automated functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy, test cases, and build automated framework • Facilitate GUI, API, or Performance automation of a large set of existing manual test cases for a complex and variety of datasets • Work closely with developers to understand system architecture and technical aspects, facilitating effective testing. • Create detailed and effective manual and automated test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. • Design, develop and execute API automation scripts using POSTMAN or similar tools source tools • Plan, estimate, execute Sanity or Regression within the project's timeline. • Plan and execute performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of e-commerce application. • Implement security testing protocols to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the protection of sensitive user and financial data. • Staying updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure that processes remain compliant and of high quality. • Active involvement in the entire SDLC cycle starting from requirement gathering to the deployment of the task • Prepare and maintain documents throughout the QA cycle covering goals, test cases, scenarios, results, limitations, and outcomes. • Document and track software defects, providing detailed information to developers for resolution. • Monitor risk-management procedures, maintain problem logs with correct data set, and report issues to developers or product managers or concern stack-holders. Skills • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes. • Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy, test cases, and build automated framework. • Strong experience in the Functional, API, and Automation testing. • Good experience in Performance and Security testing will add an advantage. • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. • Good experience in creating test scripts using WebDriver, Selenium, RestAssured in Java, and with TestNG for Automation testing Reports. • Good command over XPath, Web Console, XML, JSON, SQL queries and scripts. • Experience in test automation and exposure to working in CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, etc. tools will add an advantage. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and decision-making skills. • Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease. • Flexibility to move across different languages, technologies, and frameworks. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. • Professional certification, such as ISTQB, CSTE, CQE, etc. will add an advantage. Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent with 2 to 3 years of experience in a quality assurance environment. • Minimum 1+ years of experience in any Testing tool.
