Job Summary

The Investment Analyst / Associate will be responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, building and maintaining financial models, tracking performance across all asset classes, conducting market and sector research, and preparing reports and MIS dashboards for leadership decision-making. This includes working across equities, debt, alternatives, PMS/AIF mandates, mutual funds, real estate models, and strategic business investments.

The role requires strong analytical and financial modelling skills, disciplined reporting, and the ability to convert raw data into actionable insights.

Roles & Responsibilities

A. Financial Modelling & Deal Evaluation

• Build and maintain financial models for new investments, real estate projects, JV structures, and business proposals.
• Conduct valuation analysis (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis, comparable benchmarking).
• Prepare investment memos, business cases, and feasibility reports.

B. Portfolio Tracking & Performance Monitoring

• Maintain a consolidated dashboard of all Group investments across asset classes.
• Track performance of: PMS portfolios, AIFs, Mutual funds, Bonds, NCDs, fixed-income products, Equity holdings
• Calculate IRR/XIRR, portfolio returns, and benchmark comparisons.
• Highlight deviations, underperformance, or red flags.

C. Market Research & Analytics

• Track industry trends, sector performance, macro developments, and competitive insights.
• Conduct research on alternative investments, structured products, and new opportunities.
• Benchmark portfolio products against peers and market standards.

D. Reporting, MIS & Insights

• Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS covering portfolio allocation, performance, returns, and risk.
• Convert raw financial and operational data into clear insights and summaries.
• Track capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and maturity schedules.

E. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with wealth managers, PMS/AIF providers, bankers, advisors, and internal teams for statements, reports, and data.
• Maintain organised documentation of investment agreements, reports, term sheets, and valuation files.

F. Strategic Projects & Business Analysis

• Assist in feasibility studies and financial analysis for new business ventures, projects, and expansions.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling, and benchmarking for strategic decisions.
• Support preparation of presentations, analysis packs, and strategic reviews.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related fields
• MBA (Finance), CA Inter, or CFA Level I+ preferred

Work Experience

• 2–5 years in investment analysis, corporate finance, asset management, or equity research
• Exposure to PMS/AIF/MF reporting and multi-asset portfolios is beneficial
• Real estate financial modelling experience is an added advantage

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and strong financial modelling skills
• Proficiency in valuation, IRR/NPV modelling, and financial statement analysis
• Familiarity with PMS/AIF reporting formats and financial instruments
• Clear communication and strong documentation ability
