Job Overview

Inventory Control Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the issuance and return of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods from warehouse to production and back.
• Maintain and update inventory records in real time using ERP or inventory management software.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to align stock levels with operational needs.
• Lead and coordinate regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts; investigate and resolve variances.
• Monitor inventory turnover, identify excess or obsolete stock, and suggest optimization strategies.
• Enforce FIFO/FEFO standards and ensure proper labeling and documentation of all materials.
• Track and report shrinkage, damages, and non-compliance to management.
• Generate detailed weekly and monthly reports on inventory usage, balances, and trends.
• Support internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum

  7 years of hands-on experience

  in inventory control within a

  flexible packaging or manufacturing

  environment.
• Strong understanding of materials used in flexible packaging (films, inks, adhesives, etc.).
• Proficient in ERP and inventory systems such as SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or similar platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Capable of managing inventory processes independently in a fast-paced production setting.
• Familiar with warehouse operations, safety practices, and quality compliance protocols.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing barcode or QR-based inventory tracking systems.
• Familiarity with ISO and other quality control systems.
• Experience in setting up or improving inventory workflows and storage optimization.
