As member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Group Head of Finance / CFO oversees and manages the financial activities, teams and strategy on the group level while ensuring proper financial management and controlling, supporting the Senior leadership team and the board in taking the informed decisions related to the business, financial risks, budgets and investments, with the aim to ensure the company’s financial sustainable performance. The role also includes partnering closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to ensure end-to-end financial optimization across production, distribution, and sales channels.
Main areas of responsibilities
1. Financial strategy and plan: Formulating and leading the financial strategy and plan to be inline with the company and business strategy, while supporting local entities and ensuring effective implementation at group level. This includes scenario planning and stress-testing against market disruptions such as commodity price volatility, supply chain delays, and regulatory changes.
2. Budgeting & forecasting: Overseeing budget planning, in close coordination with the Executive leadership team for current and subsequent years.
3. Cash management: Managing and optimizing cash flow and liquidity, ensuring timely payment of suppliers as well as cash collection, effective credit management to clients, in close coordination with other functions, ensuring optimal supplier terms, managing inventory financing, and supporting sales-driven cash strategies.
4. Accounting & cost management: Ensuring effective accounting management including cost accounting and monitoring. Analyze costs and work with head of departments and executives on cost reduction and optimization. Partner with operational teams to track production yield, wastage percentage, and unit cost per product line.
5. Ensuring financial controlling and compliance while setting the needed financial controlling structures and reporting systems. DB
6. Establishing accounting and finance standards, KPIs, policies at group level and ensuring effective compliance and implementation, while providing the appropriate support at group and local levels. This includes aligning financial KPIs with operational KPIs such as production efficiency, order fulfillment, and distribution cost per unit.
7. Tax management and planning: Managing, optimizing taxes and tax planning at group level, incl. monitoring transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
8. Analyzing financial risks and investments and provide leadership and board with the appropriate recommendations while ensuring optimal risk oversight.
9.Advising Executives and Board on financial decisions to optimize financial performance and risk management.
10.Team leadership: Leading, supervising, evaluating and developing/ mentoring the financial and accounting teams, while providing them with the appropriate goals, tools and framework to perform.
11. Organization: Building the appropriate organization for the Finance department, including structures and processes, internal financial controls, while leading the finance digital transformation initiatives and ensuring the appropriate monitoring and governance.
12. Relations with banks and financial institutions: Build trustful relation with banks and financial institutions while securing financial transactions and alternative financing such as Islamic financing.
13. Conducting and submitting accurate and timely periodic financial reviews, financial statements and reporting (including income statement-P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement,...) to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board, while ensuring timely submission of Financial statements and financial analysis reports, with recommendations.
14.Board relations: Preparing and presenting to the board regular reporting as well as participating to Board meetings and supporting the Board in decisions when needed.
Tools and Programs for Finance Directors Use Experience with ERP, BI, and accounting platforms relevant to financial reporting and analytics, specific platform experience is a major plus advantageous but not all mandatory
