Position Summary
This position, based in Chandigarh India, supports implementation of software / digital solutions related to Inspection and Integrity Management services across client assets located globally. Services encompass gathering and communicating requirements, testing of software and configuring of the Oceaneering software tool INFORM, and must align with both Oceaneering’s and the client’s documentation standards, as well as applicable onshore and offshore regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop features as requested by Integrity and Inspection Subject Matter Experts SMEs
- Develop User stories (Requests to Software developers) to implement specific features in INFORM
- User acceptance testing of releases of new software
- Production testing of INFORM modules to assure continued reliability of the software
- Support the configuration efforts of Client instances of INFORM
- Implement RBI assessment logic through the implementation of Python code
- Support the integration of Integrity/NDT data into digital platforms
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of digital inspection tools (e.g., tablets)
- Collaborate with software and IT teams to improve data capture, storage, and reporting workflows
- Analyze inspection data to identify requirements for trends and support predictive maintenance initiatives, reporting and dashboard development efforts and use of tools like Power BI
NON-ESSENTIAL
- The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
- Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g., Mechanical or allied, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy Engineering)
- Minimum 2 years of working experience of in-service inspection projects for Oil & Gas or/and other plants
Not Essential
- NDT Level II certification in RT, PT, UT, MT (as per ASNT, ISO 9712, or equivalent)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
- Experience in software related to Inspection management systems
- Coding skill will be added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and technical knowledge of NDT or Integrity engineering methods
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and industry codes / standards (ASME, API, ASTM)
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings, recommendations, and technical information to diverse audiences
