About the Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Drive projects forward with ownership, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.
• Manage multiple operational and manufacturing challenges with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
• Oversee prototyping of unit loading devices, cargo boxes, lightweight vehicle bodies, and composite-based products.
• Use CAD tools (Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) to design and adapt models for manufacturing feasibility, supplier constraints, and material availability.
• Apply design thinking to solve challenges related to prototyping, engineering, and production.
• Incorporate factors of manufacturing feasibility, supply chain constraints, and logistics into design and implementation decisions
• Identify and coordinate with suppliers and vendors; conduct site visits when required.
• Hunt for alternative suppliers and logistics solutions in case of disruptions.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless vendor payments and smooth operations.
• Act as a leader on the ground—ensuring execution across engineering, manufacturing, and delivery teams.
  

Requirements

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing design, engineering, and prototyping in domains such as cargo solutions, lightweight structures, and composites.
• Hands-on experience with any of the following CAD tools (Creo - most preferred, Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
• Ability to adapt designs for manufacturing feasibility, material constraints, and supplier capabilities.
• Proven track record of managing prototyping, production, and timely project delivery.
• Knowledge of supply chain management, vendor coordination, and logistics.
• Skillful design thinking ability, balancing innovation with feasibility.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and get things implemented at the ground level.
