Composite Structural Design Specialist

Looking to hire an experienced Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in configuring and analysing composite materials and allied structures.

• Role covers both Mechanical design as well as FEM analysis
• Software: Proficiency in one or more of Ansys Mechanical/Workbench, ABAQUS, NASTRAN or PATRAN, Siemens NX
• Programming: Working knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or any equivalent

design engineer

Location: Gurgaon

Qualification: B.Tech from IIT/NIT or M.Tech with top 5% grades preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual designs based on given problem statements, Create CAD models aligned with the conceptual design, Perform finite element analysis to validate and iterate the design, Plan and conduct necessary experiments to generate design inputs, Prepare bill of materials for designed components, Coordinate with the drafting team for the creation of engineering drawings

Strong Academic Foundation required:

1. Composite materials, including micro and macro mechanics, classical laminate theory, and failure theories
2. Strength of materials
3. Mechanical and structural design principles
4. Finite element methods
5. Design for manufacturing

Strong Industrial Foundation required:

1. Manufacturing methods used for composites and their integration.
2. Best practices in design for manufacturing
