Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Enhances the organisation's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organisational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organisational chart, and contribute to policy development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs, such as recognition and reward programs, surveys, Birthday & Anniversary celebrations and training sessions
  • Manage employee relations, including addressing employee concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, and coaching managers on HR-related issues.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement programs that support the organisation's mission and goals.
  • Performance Evaluation and Reviews - Schedule, conduct, liaise, evaluate, and half-yearly and yearly performances of employees. Post perf review - collate completed appraisal documents and communicate perf ratings, bonus, promotions, hikes in the company letterhead document.
  • Save the same in the central repository.
  • Employee Development Plan - Work with every employee to create a training/development plan based on their role and competence matrix. Based on the development plan, execute the plan.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in human resources.
  • Prior experience as an HR Generalist or in a related position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organisation's HRIS and talent management systems.
