Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

The IR & Admin Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining harmonious industrial relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing grievances, overseeing administrative functions, and ensuring workplace efficiency.

  • Provide HR support to the business unit, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Assist in project handling and infrastructure projects by providing guidance on employee engagement strategies.

  • Ensure statutory compliance with Factory Act, PF Act, Gratuity Act, Contract Labour Act, and other relevant legislations.

  • Handle grievances and labor welfare issues in a timely manner to maintain a positive work environment.

  • Manage contract labour management, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


  • Ensure compliance with labor laws like Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Wages Act, etc.


  • Handle legal inspections and audits related to labor regulations.


  • Act as the primary contact for resolving employee grievances.


  • Mediate disputes between employees and management to maintain harmony.


  • Manage relationships with labor unions, participate in collective bargaining, and negotiate wage agreements.


  • Draft and implement policies to ensure a cooperative work environment.


  • Handle misconduct cases, issue notices, and manage disciplinary proceedings in compliance with legal norms.


  • Promote and implement employee welfare schemes and initiatives.

Administration:

  • Oversee maintenance of office premises, factory setups, and related facilities.


  • Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness of the workplace.


  • Manage contracts with service providers for housekeeping, transportation, catering, etc


  • Maintain attendance, leave records, and employee data.


  • Supervise payroll inputs related to overtime, shift allowances, etc.


  • Plan and execute employee events, meetings, or welfare activities.


  • Ensure statutory documentation such as licenses, permits, and certifications are up to date.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations.


  • A diploma in labour laws or industrial relations is preferred
