Job Description

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Plan and execute recruitment for factory staff, operators, engineers, and support teams.
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast manpower requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, onboarding, and induction programs.
  • Build relations with local technical institutes and labour contractors for skilled manpower supply.

2. Attendance, Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee time attendance systems and shift scheduling.
  • Process monthly payroll, leaves, and overtime as per company policy.
  • Maintain employee master data in HRMS/ERP.
  • Handle statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with

    ,

    Minimum Wages

    ,

    Contract Labour Act

    ,

    Shops & Establishment

    , and other applicable labour laws.
  • Coordinate with government departments and maintain inspection-ready records.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure their compliance documentation is complete.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and conduct regular training programs for operators, supervisors, and staff.
  • Implement safety, 5S, and soft-skill development sessions.
  • Maintain training calendar and records.

5. Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and counseling sessions.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment at the plant.
  • Organize welfare activities, festival celebrations, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure safe and healthy working conditions with EHS coordination.

6. Performance Management

  • Drive annual appraisal and performance review processes.
  • Assist management in defining KRAs and competency matrices.
  • Link employee performance to training and career development.

7. Administration & General Management

  • Oversee canteen, transport, housekeeping, and security services.
  • Manage company accommodation or labour colony if applicable.
  • Control HR and admin budgets.

8. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare monthly HR reports for management (attendance, attrition, headcount, cost).
  • Maintain up-to-date employee files and digital records.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

  • MBA / PGDM in HR / IR / Personnel Management
  • Minimum 3

    - 6 years of experience

    in HR (preferably in

    manufacturing / plastic / packaging industry

    )
  • Sound knowledge of

    labour laws

    ,

    HR operations

    , and

    factory-level administration
