Job Description

Job Summary: The HR Assistant will support HR operations and talent acquisition activities at Wercatalyst by managing HR documentation, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, maintaining employee records, and assisting in implementing HR processes and policies. The role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Key responsibilitiesAssist in day-to-day HR operations including maintaining employee records, HR files, and HRIS/Excel trackers. Support end-to-end recruitment coordination: posting job openings, screening basic profiles, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate databases. Coordinate onboarding and joining formalities, including document collection, preparation of appointment letters, induction schedules, and system access requests. Maintain and update attendance, leave records, and basic HR reports; share inputs for payroll in coordination with HR and operations. Assist in drafting HR letters such as offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, and experience/relieving letters. Coordinate with operations and line managers to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely closing of positions. Support HR compliance documentation by maintaining proper records of employee documents as per company standards. Provide first-level support to employee queries related to HR policies, leaves, and processes, escalating to HR Manager where required. Assist in planning and execution of employee engagement activities, HR communication, and basic surveys/feedback collection. Required skills and competenciesStrong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders. Basic understanding of HR operations, recruitment processes, and employee lifecycle stages. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS/ATS tools will be an added advantage. Attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and record maintenance. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR information professionally. Qualifications and experienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in HR operations and/or recruitment coordination; internships or trainee experience in HR will be considered. Experience in a logistics, staffing, or operations-driven environment will be an added advantage.
