Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Head

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards across all handwoven product categories.
• Lead QA across raw material inspection, loom-stage checks, in-process audits, and final product quality.
• Ensure

  rigorous quality control in weaving techniques

  , yarn selection, dyeing, and finishing processes.
• Collaborate closely with production, design, and merchandising teams to maintain product quality from development through dispatch.
• Manage buyer quality audits, third-party inspections, and compliance certifications (SEDEX, CTPAT, etc.).
• Define, track, and report on quality performance metrics; implement corrective and preventive actions where needed.
• Train, mentor, and build a high-performing QA team with strong weaving and textile knowledge.
• Stay updated on global textile testing, labeling, and packaging standards for exports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles/Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in textile quality assurance

  , with at least 4–5 years in a leadership capacity.

• Extensive and proven knowledge of weaving techniques

  (flatweave, shag, jacquard, tufting, etc.) and woven structures in multiple fibers (wool, cotton, jute, blends).
• Prior experience in QA for global export brands/retailers in home textiles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage quality systems in a manufacturing/export setup.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
