Job Description: Head of Quality (Automotive – Motorcycle Sprockets Manufacturing) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head of Quality to lead the Quality function across our manufacturing plants. The role is critical in ensuring that our motorcycle sprockets meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance required by OEM customers. The Quality Head will develop and enforce robust quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and lead the quality team to achieve operational excellence. ⸻ Key Responsibilities Quality Leadership & Strategy Define and implement the overall quality strategy, aligned with business objectives and OEM requirements. Lead and manage the Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Supplier Quality teams across multiple plants. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve QMS (Quality Management Systems) in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. Customer & OEM Interface Act as the primary quality liaison with OEM customers for audits, PPAP submissions, APQP processes, and issue resolution. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, rapid resolution of quality concerns, and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Plant Quality Management Monitor and control quality performance indicators (PPM, COPQ, rejection rates, etc.) at plant level. Implement robust in-process inspection systems, end-of-line testing, and traceability practices. Drive zero-defect culture and implement mistake-proofing (poka-yoke) measures. Supplier Quality Assurance Oversee supplier quality management, including supplier audits, incoming material inspection, and supplier development programs. Collaborate with procurement to qualify and improve suppliers for raw materials and components. Continuous Improvement Deploy problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA, FMEA, Six Sigma) for defect reduction and process optimization. Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives focused on quality improvement. Compliance & Audits Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, OEM-specific requirements, and industry certifications (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, etc.). Lead internal audits and facilitate third-party/customer audits. Team Development Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing quality team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving. Key Competencies Strategic thinker with a detail-oriented approach.
