As the QA Head, your role will involve overseeing the quality control function and manufacturing quality function to ensure they meet the quality standards for materials, products, NPD, and manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Formulating and setting quality policies according to global furniture quality standards and legal regulations for the quality control function. - Building a motivated, competent, and results-focused Quality team. - Managing all incoming material and component inspection activities, and developing and managing new product test activities. - Analyzing product risks throughout the production lifecycle and recommending preventative actions. - Monitoring the verification and follow-up of quality issues occurring at the production line and ensuring all open nonconformity issues can be closed in a timely manner. - Planning and prioritizing inspections to ensure maximum performance for timely deliveries. - Ensuring that the product undergoes stringent quality testing before reaching the customer. - Preparing documentation of internal quality control audits and quality checks. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production, Sourcing, Engineering, and sales to resolve quality issues. - Investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and driving continuous improvement. Qualifications/Skills required for this role: - Bachelor of Science Degree in a Technical discipline preferably Wood Science. - Minimum ten (10) years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with proven Quality Management System oversight capability. - Good Exposure for liaison with Buying Houses. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proven leadership skills including the ability to develop and manage a team, as well as influence others who are not direct reports. - Thorough understanding of common quality parameters, wood characteristics, and problem-solving tools including Quality Control Plans, Process Capability, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma /5s principles. - Proficiency in data interpretation, root cause investigations, problem-solving, and corrective action implementation. - Thorough understanding of various compliance and/or auditing.,
