Our client is a rapidly growing NBFC specializing in supply chain financing solutions for SMEs and MSMEs. With a strong focus on enabling working capital access for businesses, they are building a technology-driven, scalable lending platform.

Role Overview:

Credit Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
• Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation.
• Oversee portfolio quality, delinquency management, and design early warning mechanisms to mitigate risk.
• Work closely with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices.
• Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management, board, and regulators as required.
• Build and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling scale.
• Stay updated with industry, regulatory, and market trends impacting SME/MSME lending.

Key Requirements:

• 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably with NBFCs, fintechs, or banks with strong SME/MSME exposure.
• Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
• Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch and manage large loan books with quality.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
