Job Title: Head – Human Resources

Department: Human Resources
Location: Chandigarh
Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO
Industry: Edible Oil Manufacturing / FMCG / Agro-based Industry

Job Purpose

To lead and manage all aspects of Human Resources for the company, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, industrial relations, compliance, training and development, performance management, and HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team on human capital and organizational development.
  • Drive culture-building initiatives to promote productivity, compliance, and employee engagement.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for plant and corporate roles, including skilled/unskilled labor, technical, and management roles.
  • Forecast manpower requirements based on production schedules and expansion plans.
  • Build strong employer branding to attract top talent.

3. Industrial Relations (IR) & Compliance

  • Manage relationships with labor unions and employee representatives, ensuring harmonious industrial relations.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and statutory requirements (Factories Act, ESI, PF, Bonus Act, etc.).
  • Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and dispute resolutions in line with legal frameworks.

4. HR Operations & Policy Management

  • Develop and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
  • Oversee payroll, attendance, shift management, and other core HR operational functions.
  • Implement and manage HRMS tools for data management and efficiency.

5. Learning & Development

  • Assess training needs and implement skill development initiatives for workers and staff.
  • Coordinate technical training related to manufacturing, safety, and quality standards.
  • Drive leadership and soft-skills training for managerial roles.

6. Performance Management & Compensation

  • Design and manage performance appraisal systems and KPIs across departments.
  • Benchmark compensation and benefits to maintain competitive standards in the industry.
  • Recommend and manage incentive and reward systems based on performance metrics.

7. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Design and implement employee engagement programs to improve morale and reduce attrition.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and develop retention strategies, especially for plant-level staff.
  • Organize welfare programs, health & safety campaigns, and CSR activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent from a recognized institute.
  • 10–15+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setup, preferably FMCG, edible oil, or agro-processing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory compliance, and IR management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
