Role Overview

Growth Operations Manager

cross-functional program management role


Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Project Management

  • Run

    weekly growth sprints

    with internal team + agencies, ensuring deliverables are on track.
  • Maintain and update the

    Growth Roadmap

    (Acquisition → Activation → Retention → Advocacy).
  • Track campaign status across channels (paid, influencers, lifecycle, community).


  • 2. Process & Workflow Ownership

    • Build standard operating procedures (SOPs) for creative requests, campaign launches, A/B testing.
    • Ensure fast creative turnaround between internal design/brand + external agencies.
    • Manage briefs, approvals, and timelines to avoid bottlenecks.

  • 3. Data & Reporting Ops

    • Partner with the

      Data Analyst

      to build dashboards for installs, CPI, retention, ARPU, referral loop.
    • Monitor

      daily growth KPIs

      (installs, activation %, retention, CAC/LTV) and flag anomalies.
    • Drive post-mortems for campaigns and growth experiments, ensuring learnings are documented.

  • 4. Agency & Partner Coordination

    • Act as the

      single point of contact

      for media, creative, influencer, and community agencies.
    • Consolidate agency reports, validate against internal dashboards, and escalate issues.
    • Negotiate timelines, ensure SLAs are met, and align agency outputs with CYBX’s brand strategy.

  • 5. Growth Experimentation

    • Work with Growth PM & Performance Lead to structure A/B tests (ads, onboarding flows, paywalls).
    • Ensure proper implementation of test setups (naming conventions, tracking, success criteria).
    • Maintain an

      “Experiment Library”

      so learnings compound over time.


    6. Cross-Functional Alignment

    • Sync weekly with

      Product, Tech, Analytics, and Marketing

      teams to ensure no disconnect.
    • Bridge offline & online sales teams by aligning messaging, creatives, and KPIs.
    • Ensure

      activation and retention loops

      are equally prioritized alongside acquisition.

  • Key KPIs for this Role

    • Campaign launch turnaround time (brief → live).
    • % of campaigns with tracking/attribution correctly implemented.
    • % of growth experiments run with valid test design.
    • Weekly reporting accuracy vs MMP (Appsflyer/Firebase).
    • Improvement in coordination efficiency (e.g., creative SLA < 72 hrs).

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Must-Haves:

    • 4–6 years in

      Growth Ops / Marketing Ops / Project Management

      in consumer tech, D2C, or app-first companies.
    • Hands-on experience with

      growth workflows

      (Trello/Asana/Jira, Slack, Airtable, Notion).
    • Familiarity with

      MarTech/AdTech stack

      : MMPs (Appsflyer/Adjust), Firebase, Braze/MoEngage.
    • Strong analytical literacy: ability to read dashboards, spot anomalies, and push accountability.
    • Agency/vendor management experience.

  • Good-to-Haves:

    • Experience in a

      0→1 growth environment

      (consumer app launch, fintech, or security app).
    • Exposure to

      paid marketing metrics

      (CPI, IPM, ROAS) and lifecycle metrics (D7/D30 retention).
    • Understanding of

      A/B testing and experimentation frameworks

      .
    • Comfort working in a

      high-pressure, war-room style growth team

      .
