Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Graduate Engineer Trainee (E&I)
to join our Electrical and Instrumentation team. The GET will support the design, integration, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and instrumentation solutions for industrial pumps and compressors. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to build a strong foundation in E&I engineering within a leading manufacturing/Engineering setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, selection, and integration of electrical and instrumentation components for pump and compressor systems.
- Support the preparation of wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, cable schedules, and loop diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical or in-house software.
- Participate in PLC/SCADA programming, configuration of instrumentation, and system testing.
- Help in preparing technical documents including, data sheets, Input / output lists, functional design specifications, and test reports.
- Prepare of enquiry specification for assigned items such as transmitters, gauges, Junction Box, Local control stations, etc.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Production, Quality, and Project Engineering.
- Participate in panel inspection, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and site commissioning support, on need basis.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and customer specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for E&I issues in products or systems.
Technical/Functional Skills
:
- Internship or project experience in industrial automation or process instrumentation.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation devices, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with control systems, sensors, actuators, VFDs, and motor starters.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, HMI, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols is required.
- Knowledge of electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) is preferred.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation engineering.
- Strong academic background with a good understanding of electrical & Instrumentation engineering principles.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good analytical and communication skills; willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
