Position Summary: We are seeking a Designer to join our Electrical Controls and Instrumentation team. Each system is custom engineered to meet rigorous customers, industry and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Create layout drawings for junction boxes and control panels Create wiring schematics for junction boxes and control panels Generate other controls documents such as system architecture, loop digrams and instrument hookup diagrams, Perform engineering changes (ECs) Select parts such as terminal blocks, enclosures, operators, lights, receptacles, etc. based upon industry standards and customer requirements Interface with vendors and electricians and provide guidance and direction as necessary Inspect equipment and document as-built conditions Hands on panel work is a plus Technical/Functional Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical, 2010 or higher Ability to size and layout junction boxes and control cabinets Ability to understand and generate wiring schematics Familiar with major control panel components such as relays, fuses, PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, coolers, heaters, etc. Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently Detail oriented designer with focus on quality and accuracy Independently apply concepts across the whole design package Ability to research and locate manufacturer's part numbers and add them to our system Qualifications Experience: Bachelor or master’s degree in Instrumentation/Electrical engineering or equivalent. 5 - 9 years or more of related work experience.
