Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

As a Designer at Sundyne, you will be joining the Electrical Controls and Instrumentation team where each system is custom engineered to meet rigorous customers, industry, and regulatory requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create layout drawings for junction boxes and control panels - Create wiring schematics for junction boxes and control panels - Generate other controls documents such as system architecture, loop diagrams, and instrument hookup diagrams - Perform engineering changes (ECs) - Select parts such as terminal blocks, enclosures, operators, lights, receptacles, etc., based upon industry standards and customer requirements - Interface with vendors and electricians and provide guidance and direction as necessary - Inspect equipment and document as-built conditions - Hands-on panel work is a plus **Technical/Functional Skills:** - Proficient in AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, 2010 or higher - Ability to size and layout junction boxes and control cabinets - Ability to understand and generate wiring schematics - Familiar with major control panel components such as relays, fuses, PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, coolers, heaters, etc. - Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently - Detail-oriented designer with a focus on quality and accuracy - Independently apply concepts across the whole design package - Ability to research and locate manufacturer's part numbers and add them to our system **Qualifications Experience:** - Bachelor's or master's degree in Instrumentation/Electrical engineering or equivalent - 5 - 9 years or more of related work experience At Sundyne, we are a global manufacturer of precision-engineered, highly reliable pumps and compressors for various industries.
