OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking for a General Manager – Operations who will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the apparel/fabric manufacturing business, ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with international quality and ethical standards. This role will provide strategic leadership in production, supply chain, quality, sustainability, and workforce management while driving continuous improvement to achieve business growth and customer satisfaction.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1.Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations across production, planning, sourcing, warehousing, and distribution functions.
  • Ensure production targets are met with optimal resource utilization and minimum wastage.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives.


2.Production Management

  • Lead daily factory operations including production, planning, finishing, and dispatch.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure delivery targets, efficiency, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Drive lean manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to for all machinery and equipment.


3.Planning & Coordination

  • Oversee production planning and material flow to meet customer order timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and logistics teams for smooth execution.
  • Monitor capacity planning and allocate resources to maximize efficiency.


4.Quality & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor strict quality control measures across all production stages.
  • Ensure compliance with buyer standards and international certifications (ISO, WRAP, OEKO-TEX, BSCI, etc.).
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.


5.Cost & Efficiency Control

  • Drive cost reduction through waste minimization, process optimization, and improved productivity.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets for the manufacturing function.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials, energy, and workforce.


PRE - REQUSITES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum

    15+ years of experience

    in apparel/fabric manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end apparel production processes (knits, woven, fabric, finishing).
  • Proven track record in

    lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence.
