Key Responsibilities: Interpret and convert legacy 2D CAD drawings (paper or digital) into precise 3D models using SolidWorks. Reverse-engineer physical components into 3D CAD models when required. Ensure all 3D models meet current design standards and manufacturing requirements. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to validate models and resolve discrepancies. Maintain organized documentation and version control of all CAD files. Identify and recommend improvements in design processes and CAD standards. Qualifications: Proven experience with SolidWorks (3+ years preferred). Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs. Experience with legacy drawing systems (AutoCAD, paper drawings, scanned blueprints) is a plus.
