Job Description

Core Responsibilities

1. Operations & Guest Experience

  • Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments (front office, F&B, housekeeping, spa, events, sales, engineering, HR, finance).
  • Maintain world-class service standards tailored for international guests and business travelers.
  • Handle VIP guests, corporate delegations, and high-profile clients personally.
  • Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores (e.g., TripAdvisor, Booking.com, internal brand metrics).

2. Business & Revenue Management

  • Drive room revenue, F&B, events, and other profit centers.
  • Develop strategies to capture corporate contracts, expat housing agreements, and MICE business.
  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize ADR (Average Daily Rate), occupancy, and RevPAR.
  • Approve annual budgets, forecasts, and P&L reports.

3. Leadership & Staff Management

  • Lead a multicultural team of department heads and staff, ensuring motivation and high morale.
  • Implement training programs to align staff with premium guest expectations.
  • Foster a service-first, guest-centric culture.
  • Enforce discipline, compliance, and grooming standards.

4. Brand & Market Positioning

  • Act as the brand ambassador of the property in the local and international market.
  • Build relationships with embassies, multinational corporations, relocation companies, and travel management firms.
  • Represent the property at trade shows, networking events, and business forums.
  • Ensure alignment with brand standards (if part of a chain like Marriott, Hyatt, Accor, Hilton).

5. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations (labor laws, licensing, health & safety).
  • Maintain highest standards of security, especially for VIP and expat guests.
  • Oversee crisis management and emergency procedures.

Skills & Qualities of a Successful GM for Premium/Expat Market

  • Luxury hospitality expertise with an eye for detail and refinement.
  • Strong background in corporate sales, expat housing, and MICE business.
  • Excellent communication & cultural sensitivity (able to deal with diverse expat communities).
  • Financial acumen (P&L management, budgeting, forecasting).
  • Charismatic leader with the ability to inspire a diverse, multicultural team.
  • Crisis-handling ability (guest complaints, PR issues, operational challenges).
  • Strong networking skills with diplomats, CEOs, corporate travel managers, and expat community leaders.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Guest satisfaction / NPS (Net Promoter Score).
  • Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR growth.
  • Corporate contract acquisition & retention.
  • Staff engagement and turnover rates.
  • Brand ranking in competitive set (market share).
  • Profitability against budget (GOP – Gross Operating Profit).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 per month
