Role & responsibilities Be familiar with and apply industry standards governing the design and manufacture of various types of transformers. Run quotation designs for sales departments that will then be reviewed by an Engineering Manager/Supervisor before going to sales. Ensure Transformer reliability for Various Dielectric Tests, Thermal behavior, and short circuit behavior of Transformer by using appropriate Tools for Large power Transformers and Autotransformers using industry standards that govern the design and test of transformers. Take charge of electrical advance material ordering (AO), design and packaging. Use CAD system or other appropriate computer programs for producing design drawings. Apply industry standards governing the design and manufacture of various types of Power transformers. Produce accurate detailed design drawings of oil type power designs. Generate Bills of Material (BOM) for all material of core and coil assembly. Exercise judgment in selecting design parameters. Oversee the work of and train junior electrical engineers and technicians. Review and check designs produced by other electrical designers for conformance to specifications. Complete design activities in accordance with schedule requirements as assigned by the supervisor. Satisfy all work performance and attendance requirements. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Conversant with formulae and mechanical and thermal properties of metals and plastics. 3. Use CAD system or other appropriate computer programs for producing design drawings and outlines as appropriate. 4. Produce accurate detailed design drawings and outlines of standard oil type designs. 5. Generate Bills of Material (BOM) for all material and accessories needed in a Mechanical design package. 6. Oversee the work of other and train junior mechanical engineers and technicians. 7. Review and check designs produced by other mechanical designers for conformance to specifications. 8. Complete design activities in accordance with schedule requirements as assigned by the supervisor. 9. Satisfy all work performance and attendance requirements. 10. Role & responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Engineering Leadership: Lead the mechanical and/or electrical design of various types of transformers, with a strong focus on design Quality, Quantity and On time deliverables, ensuring designs meet customer specifications, industry standards (e.g., ANSI/IEEE, IEC), and internal quality requirements. Expertise: Utilize extensive experience in pad-mounted, medium and Power transformer design, including enclosure design, cable entry and termination, compartment layouts, cooling system integration, and security features. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to ensure seamless project execution from concept to delivery. Mentorship: Potentially mentoring engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the design team and lead a high-performing technical team. Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex design-related issues that may arise during manufacturing, testing, or field operation. Analysis & Simulation: Conduct design calculations, VLN, Andreson, stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other relevant simulations to validate designs and predict performance. Prototyping & Testing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams during prototype development, testing, and validation phases, providing design input and troubleshooting support. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, test procedures, and design reports. Familiarity with various transformer types transmission and distribution products and their applications. Experience in renewable energy systems, electric vehicle technology, Data center or industrial automation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), MATLAB, VLN, Anderson, thermal and stress analysis tools are a plus.

Role & responsibilities Design of control & automation of Power Transformer, Auto Transformer & Switch Gear including RTCC panels and OLTC controls. Develop Power Transformer control design including the cooling fan control, Onload Tap changer, current Transformer, SCADA, PLC etc. Perform Load calculation for wire size and circuit protection. Review Technical specifications and prepare design note to proceed with Electrical, Control Design & cooling with respect to customer requirement.
