Associate General Manager/General Manager - Last Mile B2B OperationsFuelBuddy is at the forefront of the energy revolution, simplifying doorstep fuel delivery for businesses across India. We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven General Manager/AGM - Last Mile B2B Operations to take complete charge of our national last-mile delivery network. This is a critical leadership role for an operations veteran who can build, optimize, and scale a high-performance, safe, and compliant logistics network to ensure seamless, on-demand energy delivery for our enterprise clients.
Key Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own the end-to-end B2B last-mile operations across all India, including overall P&L, budget management, and operational efficiency targets.
- Develop and implement a national strategy for last-mile logistics to ensure operational excellence, maximum uptime, and industry-leading customer satisfaction.
- Drive expansion into new geographies and operational models while maintaining strict quality and cost controls.
Operational Excellence & Fleet Management
- Oversee daily operations of the B2B delivery fleet, including specialized Refuellers.
- Implement advanced technologies for route optimization, demand forecasting, and real-time inventory control.
- Establish and enforce best practices for fleet maintenance, deployment, and utilization to maximize asset life and minimize downtime.
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all enterprise clients are met consistently, maintaining FuelBuddy's reputation for reliability. This includes rigorous tracking and reporting on SLA adherence.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Champion a robust safety culture across all last-mile operations, strictly adhering to PESO regulations and other statutory norms.
- Oversee and audit compliance with all quality and quantity assurance protocols, leveraging IoT-enabled smart dispensers and flow meters to eliminate pilferage and ensure transparency.
- Conduct regular operational and compliance audits across all regional hubs and delivery points to proactively identify and mitigate risks and maintain standardized operating procedures.
- Develop and execute emergency response protocols for fuel handling and delivery incidents.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing, geographically distributed operations team, including Zonal Heads, City Operations Managers, and delivery personnel.
- Foster a culture of efficiency, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop training programs for drivers and operators on safe fuel handling, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
Stakeholder Management
- Host weekly operational review meetings with key B2B clients to discuss delivery performance, address concerns, and strengthen the client relationship.
- Work closely with the B2B Enterprise Sales, Technology, and Customer Success teams to align operational capabilities with sales targets and client commitments.
- Manage key relationships with external stakeholders, including fuel suppliers, vendors, government authorities, and regulators, to ensure a reliable and seamless supply chain.
- Proactively engage with existing B2B clients to gather feedback, ensure satisfaction, and identify opportunities for service improvement.
Process & Technology Optimization
- Identify and implement innovative, data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency (e.g., cost per litre, delivery time), reduce costs, and enhance the overall service quality.
- Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), prepare crisp, data-driven dashboards, and present clear reports on operational performance and key trends to the senior management team.
- Drive the effective utilization of IoT and cloud-enabled technologies within the delivery process.
Required An MBA or equivalent is preferred from good institute.
Experience
- 15-18 years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 8 years of extensive and successful experience managing complex, national B2B last-mile logistics and operations in India.
- Experience in logistics or heavy commercial vehicle fleet management is highly preferred.
Domain Knowledge:
Deep understanding of logistics, fleet management, operational best practices, and regulatory landscape, particularly related to the petroleum or hazardous goods sector.
Leadership:
Proven ability to lead and manage large, multi-locational teams, solve problems under pressure, and drive measurable results.
Analytical Skills:
