Job Description

Role Overview: As the Finance Lead, your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic financial leadership to ensure the long-term financial health and sustainability of the company. You will oversee various financial functions including accounting, budgeting, financial planning & analysis, audits, compliance, and cost control. With your 15+ years of experience, you are expected to act as a key business partner to senior management, providing valuable insights for decision-making and driving profitability, cost optimization, and financial governance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. - Provide financial insights for business expansion, capital investments, and risk management. - Partner with leadership on long-term business planning and growth initiatives. - Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. - Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions. - Provide cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, and process improvements. - Oversee all financial accounting, reporting, and statutory compliance. - Ensure timely closure of books, audits, and regulatory filings. - Maintain adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS), Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other statutory regulations. - Drive cost control initiatives, especially in manufacturing (fixtures, machining, automation projects). - Monitor working capital, cash flow, and inventory costs. - Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets. - Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and funding requirements. - Oversee treasury operations including cash management, FX, and hedging. - Identify and mitigate financial risks affecting the organization. - Lead and mentor finance & accounts teams, building strong financial discipline. - Establish finance as a business partner, not just a compliance function. - Drive digital transformation in finance through ERP and automation of reporting. Qualifications & Skills: - Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or MBA in Finance. - 15+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, preferably in the manufacturing/engineering industry. - Strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and audit. - Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and strategic financial planning. - Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.). - Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. - Excellent communication & presentation skills for board-level interactions.
