Junior Automation Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: The Junior Automation Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting in the preventive and corrective maintenance of automation systems and equipment. The role involves supporting troubleshooting, routine checks, and repair of control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of automated machinery. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance on automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, etc.). Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in automated production lines or machines. Support the calibration, tuning, and updating of control programs and logic as directed by senior engineers. Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, breakdown records, and system configurations. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance. Ensure safety compliance during maintenance activities and follow all standard operating procedures. Monitor the performance of automation systems and report irregularities to the senior team. Assist in the replacement and installation of faulty electrical and control components. Provide support during equipment upgrades, retrofitting, or new installations. Maintain inventory of critical automation spare parts and tools.
