Job Title: Head of Finance / Finance Director (Manufacturing)

Reporting To: CEO / Managing Director

Experience Required: Minimum 15 Years in Finance Leadership

I. Position Summary

The Head of Finance is a senior executive responsible for the entire financial function, strategy, and overall fiscal health of the manufacturing company. This role demands a proven leader with mandatory, deep operational knowledge across all core business units (Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, R&D) to drive performance, optimize working capital, and ensure strict financial compliance.

II. Core Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant time spent in a manufacturing or production environment (Tier 1/2 preferred).
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated, hands-on knowledge of all major company functions including Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Logistics, Sales Forecasting, and R&D project valuation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. CPA, CMA, or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.

III. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategic Finance & Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Provide financial modeling and strategic analysis for major CapEx (Capital Expenditure) projects and new business ventures.
  • Manage banking relationships, capital structure, and cash flow to ensure liquidity and profitability.

B. Operational and Cost Control

  • Oversee Cost Accounting systems, ensuring accurate standard costing, variance analysis (Material Usage, Labor Efficiency), and inventory valuation.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to optimize working capital (Inventory, AR, AP) and drive down manufacturing costs.
  • Evaluate financial viability of R&D and engineering projects, ensuring alignment with commercial returns.
  • Collaborate with Sales on pricing strategies, margin analysis, and sales performance tracking.

C. Reporting, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and all statutory requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audit processes and maintain a rigorous system of internal controls.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance functions.

IV. Skills and Competencies

  • Expert proficiency with Tier 1/2 ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) in a manufacturing context.
  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proven ability to act as a business partner, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable business strategies for non-finance leaders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
