Finance Associate Manager: We are seeking an experienced finance associate manager in the accounting team. The role reports to the Finance Director and will be part of the Global Business Services (GBS) function of Juniper Networks. In this role, the right candidate is expected to be a key personnel in the oversight of the general ledger (GL) close and balance sheet reconciliations under US GAAP. Critical to the execution of this role is strong accounting knowledge, focus on continuous process improvements, strong multi-tasking and communication skills, being detail oriented and a team player. Responsibilities: Key objectives for this position include: Oversight of GL month close activities and balance sheet reconciliations. This includes monitoring the month close progress as per the close calendar and communicating and escalating issues timely. Single point of contact for addressing GL related queries for assigned regions Assist in investigating and resolving complex accounting issues timely and effectively. Review monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations and manual journal entries and signoff on the same. Prepare and present quarterly balance sheet accounts flux analysis and quarterly close checklist ( by coordinating with the various groups). Responsible for ongoing development of the Company’s accounting processes, improvements and policies for Juniper’s consolidated financials with consideration to individual statutory legal entity reporting. Accountable for building a strong accounting team in GBS that have the knowledge and experience to support our needs, and a process that is scalable to the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, IT, cost accounting, etc.) to identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes (i.e. reducing month close cycle, automate manual processes etc.). An individual in this role is expected to establish and maintain highly collaborative relationships with the key stakeholders and cross functional teams. Proactively track any SAP issues that impacts the accounting function, and coordinate with IT and other functional owners to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Perform ad hoc analyses as required. Responsible for other general ledger related tasks as assigned. Technical Skills: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Strong knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS requirements Experience in the Record-to-Report function of a multinational enterprise is an added advantage SAP ERP experience is desired Extremely strong in Excel, PowerPoint and outlook. Personnel Skills: Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The individual should be highly energetic and must have the ability to think strategically and act operationally to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies Ability to work effectively across time zones/ geographies with key global stakeholders. Experience of working in matrix organizations would be an advantage.
