Accounting Manager

Role Overview

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting function, managing financial reporting, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong financial acumen, experience in the education sector (preferred), and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial operations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial analysis, forecasts, and budget support.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency in financial operations.
• Support new initiatives such as expansion projects, partnerships, or acquisitions with financial due diligence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s/CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance and GST and TDS compliance.
• Experience in the education sector or service-based industries is an advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
