Factory Supervisor

Job Title: Factory Supervisor Location: Siracol, Rajarhat - DH Road Department: Production / Operations Reports To: Factory Manager / Plant Head Employment Type: Full-time ⸻ Job Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety within the factory. This role involves supervising production teams, managing shift activities, maintaining production records, and coordinating with other departments such as maintenance, quality, and accounts. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost control. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Supervise daily factory operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met. • Plan and allocate work, monitor production processes, and make adjustments as needed to achieve optimal efficiency. • Manage and motivate production staff; ensure discipline, attendance, and adherence to company policies. • Maintain accurate production and inventory records, including raw material usage and finished goods reporting. • Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance department for production costing, consumption reporting, and reconciliation of materials. • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company standards. • Support continuous improvement initiatives, identify process bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and report machinery issues promptly. • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to improve workforce efficiency and morale. • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and communication with senior management. ⸻ Qualifications and Experience: • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean practices. • Experience in handling manpower and managing shop-floor teams. • Basic knowledge of accounts and cost control preferred. • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office applications. ⸻ Key Skills and Competencies: • Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, train, and motivate teams to achieve production goals. • Accountability & Responsibility: Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines. • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordination across departments. • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities effectively. • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and maintenance coordination. • Financial Awareness: Basic understanding of production costing, inventory management, and waste reduction. ⸻ Work Environment: • Factory-based role • Exposure to manufacturing equipment and production floor activities. • Requires adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
