Role Overview

We are hiring a Factory General Manager to take full charge of day-to-day operations at our Lucknow plant. This is a desk-based control role focused on auditing, coordination, output delivery, and system oversight.

The GM will be responsible for ensuring that each department—Production, Stores, Quality Control, and Dispatch—functions in sync, meets daily targets, and maintains accurate data across systems. The person will also liaise with government officials, work closely on the TMS (Tender Management System), and play an active role in tracking and enabling new business opportunities.

This is a role for a problem solver—someone who doesn’t wait to be told what’s going wrong, but digs in, finds it, and fixes it.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Oversight & Audit

• Review daily outputs, material usage, and QC records across departments.
• Validate all incoming reports—no data should pass through unchecked.
• Use Tez ERP, Excel, and TMS to cross-verify production and store records.
• Step onto the floor for audits and verification as needed.

Inventory & Material Coordination

• Monitor material inflow/outflow and trigger procurement in advance.
• Ensure raw material procurement is done at the best price levels.
• Ensure system stock levels match physical stock.
• Prevent shortages, pilferage, and inventory blind spots.

Dispatch Planning & Compliance

• Approve dispatch readiness only after verifying schedule, packaging, and documentation.
• Align delivery plans with fixed railway order timelines to prevent penalty scenarios.
• Ensure dispatch logs and paperwork are always updated.

Interdepartmental Sync

• Act as a central command between Production, QC, Stores, and Tendering.
• Track and resolve inter-team issues before they disrupt workflow.
• Keep everyone working toward output, not isolated tasks.

Government & TMS Coordination

• Liaise with railway and government officials for site visits, inspections, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate data and timely updates in the Tender Management System.
• Identify upcoming tender opportunities and coordinate business submissions.

Team Accountability & Process Enforcement

• Drive a culture of ownership and discipline—every report is verified, every task tracked.
• Collaborate with HR to enforce attendance, behavior, and safety policies.
• Ensure no process is bypassed or compromised under pressure.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of plant operations or manufacturing control experience.
• PU foam or engineering industry background is a strong plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts.
• Fluent in Hindi and English.
• Comfortable with ERP systems, Excel, and structured reporting formats.
• Strong judgment, people skills, and presence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
