- Manage end-to-end export operations for manufactured goods — prepare and validate export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill, bill of lading/airway bill) to ensure timely shipments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and warehouses to plan bookings, confirm ETAs, and ensure export clearance and on-time delivery.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations (DGFT/IEC), INCOTERMS, export licenses, and customer-specific requirements; support audits and maintain export records.
- Handle export finance interactions including Letters of Credit (LC) documentation, shipping documents submission, and liaising with banks for timely payments.
- Work closely with Sales, Production, QA and Warehouse to convert orders into shipment-ready consignments—track status, resolve exceptions, and update stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements: maintain accurate ERP/SAP shipment entries, improve documentation turnaround times, and assist in KPI tracking for on-time shipment and documentation accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 2+ years experience in export operations or logistics within manufacturing or trading companies handling B2B shipments.
- Hands-on knowledge of export documentation, Customs clearance process, and INCOTERMS.
- Proficient with ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) for shipment tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors across time zones.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments concurrently.
Preferred
- Experience handling LCs, export finance processes, or familiarity with bonded/EOU shipments and special export schemes.
- Prior exposure to freight negotiation, cost optimization, and basic knowledge of international trade compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with export markets, documentation for specific regions (Middle East, Africa, Europe, North America) is a plus.
