About the Role

Engineering Manager

What you will be doing (specific to Data, Infra, AWS, Excellence charters):

• Own the architecture and development of robust data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data lakes, and warehousing strategies, ensuring governance and compliance.
• Drive infrastructure scalability, reliability, and performance, aligning with business growth and uptime expectations.
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) using best practices for cost efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Lead the Engineering Excellence charter, including CI/CD enablement, observability (monitoring, logging, alerting), release velocity, and internal tooling.
• Define and enforce platform-wide standards, SLAs, security protocols, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency across teams.
• Implement and manage FinOps practices to track, optimize, and reduce cloud costs while enabling experimentation and innovation.
• Foster a strong SRE mindset within the team, including incident response, root cause analysis, and service reliability ownership.
• Partner with product and application engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of platform capabilities.
• Build and lead a high-performing platform engineering team, enabling autonomy, accountability, and growth across multiple focus areas.

What you will need:

• 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role managing infrastructure/platform teams of least

  6+

  team members
• Strong understanding of

  data systems

  (ETL/ELT),

  big data frameworks

  (e.g., Spark, Flink), and

  data streaming platforms

  (e.g., Kafka)
• Proven experience with

  cloud infrastructure on AWS

  , including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and VPC
• Proficiency in

  infrastructure-as-code

  tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Experience with

  monitoring and observability tools

  such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Sentry, or Datadog
• Solid understanding of

  cloud security practices

  , identity management, and compliance frameworks
• Familiarity with

  SRE principles

  , incident management, and operational excellence metrics
• Exposure to

  FinOps

  practices, including budgeting, tagging strategies, and cost optimization
• Programming skills in

  Python, Go, or JavaScript

• Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills to align teams with long-term platform vision
