⚡ Job Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on Electronics Quality Lead with deep BMS expertise to own quality systems across our electronics manufacturing value chain—from PCB assembly to final integration of BMS, power electronics, and EV controllers. This role ensures top-tier reliability, supplier quality, and process excellence for the electronics that safeguard and control EmoEnergy’s battery systems.
🎯 What You Will Do
- Support New Product Development (NPD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for BMS electronics, ensuring design and process quality throughout the product life.
- Ensure all BMS development activities follow design control, change control, and quality planning requirements.
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance processes specific to BMS PCBAs, sensing circuits, protection circuits, communication modules, and power stages.
- Support sourcing decisions, cost evaluation, and supplier capability assessment, particularly for BMS-critical components (cells, sensors, MOSFETs, PCBs, connectors, current sensors, power devices).
- Lead BMS-specific DFMEA/PFMEA and maintain risk files for high-safety electronics.
- Review and approve DV/PV plans, test methods, calibration requirements, and validation protocols tailored for BMS functions (SOC/SOH accuracy, protections, thermal sensing, and HV safety).
- Drive root-cause analysis for BMS field failures, cell-balancing issues, protection triggers, sensor deviations, and communication faults, and lead continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, automotive functional safety, and EV BMS reliability norms).
- Collaborate with engineering and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, automotive safety requirements).
- Oversee supplier audits, component qualifications, and corrective action management (CAPA/8D).
- Ensure compliance and approval of quality records, test reports, and design documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for field and production issues.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years in electronics quality, BMS engineering, reliability, or automotive electronics roles.
- Strong knowledge of BMS architecture, PCBA processes, sensing circuitry, high-side/low-side switching, isolators, CAN communication, and HV safety
- Experience in NPI/NPD for BMS or critical power electronics.
- Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, CAPA, 8D, and risk management.
- Experience supporting NPI/NPD and lifecycle quality management.
- Understanding of industry and regulatory standards (IPC, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent).
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites frequently.
