We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Duty Manager to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth hotel operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage daily operations, lead staff, and maintain high service standards.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of hotel operations to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Personally welcome and assist VIP guests, authorizing courtesies and ensuring their needs are met
- Manage and support the Front Office team, conducting daily briefings and monitoring service standards
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
- Supervise lobby and driveway operations to maintain accessibility, safety, and guest comfort
- Review and manage rate variances, billing instructions, and guest credit to ensure revenue control
- Coordinate guest relocations during full-house situations
- Conduct Night Audit processes and ensure compliance with hotel standards
- Log and report all security incidents and emergencies, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed
- Communicate key operational updates and guest feedback to the Rooms Division Manager
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, F&B outlets, and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure coordinated and efficient operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, preferably in a hotel environment
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm and make decisive decisions under pressure and in emergency situations
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced service environment
- High attention to detail with a genuine commitment to delivering 5-star service
- Experience with Opera Property Management System (PMS) is preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage
- Fluency in English and local language(s)
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Empathetic approach to guest needs and concerns
- Resilience and adaptability in handling challenging situations
