Role Overview

Director of Admissions & Outreach

This role is ideal for someone who is strategic, data-driven, people-focused, and passionate about student success and institutional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Admissions Leadership

  • Develop and execute annual admissions strategy aligned with enrolment goals.
  • Lead and manage the admissions team; define KPIs, training, performance reviews.
  • Oversee end-to-end admissions lifecycle: enquiries → counselling → evaluation → enrolment.
  • Improve conversion funnels through CRM tracking, follow-ups, and communication workflows.
  • Evaluate applications and ensure transparency, fairness, and compliance in admissions decisions.
  • Coordinate onboarding and smooth transition for newly enrolled students.

Outreach & Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with colleges, schools, coaching centres, counsellors, and corporate partners.
  • Plan and represent GIBMS at education fairs, seminars, webinars, workshops, CSR initiatives, and industry events.
  • Develop articulation agreements, corporate education tie-ups, and referral networks.
  • Strengthen brand visibility through outreach campaigns and collaborations.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to drive lead generation campaigns.
  • Provide student-persona insights and market research for targeted marketing funnels.
  • Support content creation for admissions messages, brochures, webinars, and digital media.

Data, Reporting & Strategy

  • Track admissions metrics, conversion rates, enrolment forecasting, and ROI.
  • Present weekly/monthly reports to senior leadership.
  • Analyse market trends to refine program strategy and outreach plans.
  • Maintain compliance with education regulations and quality standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business/Education preferred.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in admissions, counselling, outreach, or education leadership.
  • Proven record of achieving admissions/enrolment targets.
  • Strong communication, counselling, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and build strong industry/academic relationships.
  • Knowledge of online/hybrid education and Indian higher-education regulations is an advantage.
