About this Role

We are seeking an experienced IFRS Accounting Controller to lead the financial reporting and compliance activities for Vantage TowerCo’s operations across multiple markets. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate IFRS 16 lease accounting, managing monthly closures, coordinating audits, and driving improvements in financial processes. The individual will collaborate with finance operations, service delivery teams, and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting, while also contributing to transformation initiatives and automation projects.

What you’ll do

• Lead monthly financial closure, IFRS and Group financial reporting, and S16 controllership for assigned markets.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 lease accounting standards and manage contract-level reconciliations.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
• Analyse and improve data quality outliers and accounting schema at contract level.
• Review and reconcile General Ledger and subledger (REFX) discrepancies.
• Prepare accounting papers for new transactions and liaise with TopCo as needed.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within lease accounting.
• Provide financial analysis including P&L, balance sheet, and cost analysis.
• Support statutory and internal audits, resolving key observations.
• Collaborate with local market teams and service delivery units for operational excellence.
• Participate in VOIS-level initiatives such as internships and transformation projects.

Who you are

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in IFRS 16 and lease accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Skilled in SAP, with a preference for experience in SAP RE-FX.
• Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management, project management, and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Experience in service delivery and financial operations is desirable.
