About Corporate IT Function The Corporate IT Function serves as a pivotal hub for technological advancement within the Godrej Group. It functions as a strategic partner, adeptly integrating technology with core business objectives to drive innovation and efficiency. Its core objective is to architect proactive technological solutions that align with and enhance our overarching business strategies. The Corporate IT team boasts a proven track record in managing GIG wide Global IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity, overseeing enterprise data centers, Cloud Infrastructure, implementing robust Disaster Recovery protocols, establishing an expansive Global Network Infrastructure, vigilant Security Operations Center management, and delivering efficient End User Support. Their expertise extends to orchestrating IT Service Operations with precision and efficiency. Beyond day-to-day operations, this team plays a pivotal role in formulating and implementing Group policies, refining processes, and setting guiding principles. As custodians of Core IT Infrastructure, they ensure robust Cybersecurity defenses, manage the Network, facilitate End User Operations, and drive the strategic development of our Cloud Infrastructure. What impact will you create? As the Manager - Corporate IT (Web Applications Architect), you will be overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of various applications across our diverse business units. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies aligning IT applications with business objectives, you ensure that technology initiatives directly contribute to the company’s goals and overall strategy. You would play a crucial role in ensuring that the necessary applications are in place to support this expansion. This could involve developing new applications or integrating existing systems with new platforms to ensure seamless operations across different functions. Key Responsibilities Application Development and Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of web and mobile applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather & analyse requirements and translate them into tech specs Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure systems by manage version control using GitHub, ensuring proper branching, merging, and versioning strategies Collaborate with team members through GitHub for code reviews, issue tracking, and project management. 2.Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of developers. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and ensure the team is using best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards. 3.Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage multiple application development projects simultaneously. Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on schedule. Collaborate on other departments for business transformation projects in areas of supply chain, sales, marketing and operations Ensure that applications meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. 4.Full-Stack Development: Utilize expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies to contribute to application development when necessary. Technologies may include, but are not limited to, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Python, Java, SQL, and NoSQL databases. 5.Security, Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all web applications across businesses within GIG comply with relevant security standards Recommend and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access. Implement and oversee testing processes to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of applications Address and resolve any issues or bugs that arise during the development and testing phases. Periodically assess the application across GIG for any security weakness and architecture review and provide recommendations to address the same. 6.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers. Evaluate and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and platforms for application development. 7.Documentation and User Support: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications and development processes. Generate regular reports on project status, application performance, and team productivity. Provide support and training to end-users to ensure effective use of applications.
