Job Title : Devops Lead Exp: 8+ Years Location : Chennai Salary : As per market Notice Period: 0-15 days/ serving Mode of Hire: Contract Mandatory Skills : AWS and Azure cloud migration, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MS SQL Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps Lead to join our technology team. You will be responsible for leading the DevOps function, ensuring smooth CI/CD processes, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and collaboration between development and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, scripting, monitoring tools, and containerization. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP). Drive DevOps best practices across development, QA, and operations teams. Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and alerting. Implement security practices in the DevOps pipeline (DevSecOps). Manage version control systems (e.g., Git), build systems, and deployment tools. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve system outages. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for continuous improvement. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a lead DevOps role. Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps. Hands-on with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes. Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog. Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python, Bash, etc.). Strong understanding of networking, security, and DevSecOps principles. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: DevOps or cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, etc.). Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Exposure to microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
